Lime Rock Friday Practice

Randy Pobst:  “This morning the track was wet and I had no grip whatsoever when I ran the Audi on ‘wet’ tires.   After I changed to ‘dry’ tires, even though the track was still completed wet, I went faster – real bizarre.  Only other problem was when I had literally skated off the track very early on, Fitzgerald slid in to me which damaged my car’s offside rear corner but that will be repaired. The afternoon’s test was dry but we spent the session experimenting with set-ups.”

Michael Galati:  “I stayed on wets in the morning while I ran a soft set-up in the afternoon so my times are not representative.  It looks like we’re in for a wet race – since Audi has raced its all-wheel-drive sedans in 2000, that hasn’t happened!”
